Snom 370 | VoIP in the corporate world at his best

Tuesday, February 06, 2007

As the use of VoIP in the corporate world reaches new heights every month, Snom continues to expand its series of VoIP devices. The latest product is the Snom 370, a VoIP phone designed to further speed up the adoption of VoIP in the corporate world.

The three main new features of the Snom 370 are: a bigger display, an expanded memory and better VPN handling. The Snom 370 display provides now a clearer image and because of the bigger size can also display a lot more information.

The Snom 370 screen is fully customizable with high resolution pictures. It also adds another feature of the most used VoIP software to the corporate world: graphics to show the status and the availability of the user contacts.

The extra information available on the Snom 370 display is made possible also thanks to the increased memory capacity of the VoIP phone. It is now possible to run more application or devices simultaneously. For example the Snom 370 can handle at the same time a headset, a handset and a loudspeaker. There is also a multicast paging mode that allows the user to make, easily, large scale announcements.

As for the VPN, this VoIP phone eases the work for the administrators of the network by allowing the use of a file system to hold configuration files and the software. Furthermore the Snom 370 also features a more secure handling of the communications with a fundamental part of the corporate world phone system: the PBX.
The Snom 370 will be available starting from April 2007 and the suggested retail price is set to $280 USD.
