VT2542 | Motorola and Vonage new wireless router

Motorola together with Vonage has announced the availability of the VT2542, a wireless router. The VT2542 enables the user to use simultaneously the telephone and the fax while also browsing on the Internet. The VT2542 Internet Phone Adapter & Wireless Router is able to connect up to two lines using Vonage. This feature is provided using either a high-speed Cable or DSL Internet connection.

One of the most important features of the VT2542 is its support for the VoIP technology. The wireless router guarantees high-quality VoIP calls and the ability to easily integrate VoIP into an existing network. The VT2542 uses a prioritization system that even when browsing offers the user a high-quality VoIP experience. The user no longer will have to worry about browsing or email reading having any effect on the VoIP call.

This wireless router features four Ethernet LAN ports and one 802.11 b/g wireless access point. Vonage also offers for the VT2542 the support for the VPN technology to create a secure private network.
