Skype's Mothers Day Gift of Gab is another first for the eBay-owned Voice-over-IP (VoIP) company, as it is the first time Skype has opened up their network without any restrictions simoultaneously for the entire world.

Skype is free to download and install, and requires that your PC has both a sound card and a headset (a desktop microphone and speakers will also work, but expect a bit of echo from the speakers feeding into the microphone).
