Facebook Calls | Jajah launches VoIP calls app

Until now, most VoIP (voice over internet protocol) calling services required both parties to download an app or a client. Now Jajah, a VoIP service provider has changed the rules, and users just need to be one of Facebook's 500 million members.

Jajah Mobile App is the first true calling solution for Facebook, allowing anyone to call online friends anywhere in the world in a single click. The calls are free from Jajah, but your local airtime rates will apply. The person receiving the call only needs to be your friend on Facebook. There is no need to reveal your phone number, no need for the other person to sign up or download anything – the call is connected directly into Facebook. The Facebook calls beta feature is now available in the US and Canada for both Apple iOS and Android phones.

Download Jajah at Apple iTunes store
Download Jajah now at Android Market

To make a Facebook Call:

* Download the JAJAH App.
* Connect to Facebook.
* Select a friend from the "online friends" list. They will receive a message within Facebook chat advising of the call. Once they accept, the call is connected directly into their browser.

In addition to calling your Facebook friends, the Jajah Mobile App allows you to place calls to any phone at incredibly low rates. Your contacts are automatically loaded from the phone for click-to-call, or you can simply enter a phone number. The app uses the Internet (WiFi, 3G, GPRS) to set up the call, but once connected it's a regular call, meaning excellent, reliable call quality - without long distance charges.
