Globe7 VoIP software the New Skype?A new VoIP provider that only started in July 2005 has already nearly reached 4 million downloads. This huge growth is something that can rival Skype and is very impressive amidst the mass of VoIP startups. The Globe7 VoIP software works in a very similar way to Skype but has advantages such as cheaper calls and even some mixed in bonuses such as internet television and radio. At the moment they are offering 100 free minutes of landline and cell phone calls when you download the Globe7 VoIP software and signup. Despite these advantages Globe7 lose out to Skype on several factors. The Globe7 VoIP software is a little confusing. It could be called the Realplayer of VoIP. Well maybe not quite as bad as Realplayer but the interface is a little confusing and feels slow to respond in some instances (Realplayer is a very non user friendly video and audio player). The Globe7 VoIP software also has a number of ad placements, something that you don't get when using Skype. |
