Skype 2.5 Beta Released

Skype 2.5 beta has just been released and is available for download here. With the new Skype beta version you can preview some of the new features set to come. These features include:

- The much anticipated Skype text messaging service which allows you to send SMS text messages to your friends.
- New Skypeout easy dialing
- New credit purchasing method allowing you to purchase Skypeout credit from within the Skype software. This makes the process a lot quicker and simpler.
- The ability to create a social space or online conference room for you and your Skype buddies to talk for free.
- Integration with Microsoft outlook allowing you to call your outlook contacts
- Shared groups which allow you to share your contact list with others and introduce friends.

The new features from the Skype 2.5 beta look very promising. Once any bugs and errors get cleaned out of the Skype beta version and the final version is released it will add some great new features for regular Skype users to play with.
