StreamCast orders Skype to cease sales of VoIP pro

Ebay, the owner of the popular VoIP provider Skype has been added to a list of companies that are being sued for profiting from StreamCast Networks peer to peer software, Morpheus.

Streamcast filed the lawsuit against Skype on Monday and claim that Niklas Zennstrom and Janus Friis who developed the technology behind Skype and Kazaa have broken an agreement to give StreamCast Networks the first rights to purchase their FastTrack p2p protocol, the technology which the Morpheus file sharing application used. Skype has been founded on the Fastrack technology.

Streamcast has now asked that Skype cease all sales of their VoIP products.
